Besakih Mother Temple

Besakih Temple is a pura Hindu temple in the village of Besakih on the slopes of Mount Agung in eastern Bali, Indonesia. It is the most important, largest, and holiest temple of Balinese Hinduism, and one of a series of Balinese temples. This temple has certainly been used as a place of worship for Hindus since 1284, when the first Javanese colonizers settled in Bali. By the 15th century, Besakih had become the state temple of the ruling Gelgel dynasty.

Lempuyang Temple

As one of the oldest temples in Bali, Lempuyang holds a long history steeped in mythology and spiritual values. It is believed to have existed since pre-Hindu times. While the exact date is unknown, its existence is closely linked to ancient Balinese legends and mythology. Lempuyang Temple's elevated location offers breathtaking views. Standing in front of Bali's Gate of Heaven, you'll be greeted by a panoramic view of the majestic Mount Agung, which serves as a natural gateway to paradise.
